The Trace Creek Evangelism and Voyager Ministry works to bring in those who are lost, brokenhearted, or down and out. It is our great burden to bring in people with great needs and bring them to the Cross. Jesus cared for us so much that He gave His life for every one of us. It is when we are in the deepest part of heartache, depression, and sin that God seeks to meet and reach us. His message is always the same: Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. (Matthew 11:28-30). The answer is Jesus.
Trace Creek runs five fifteen-passenger vans and one thirty-passenger van on Sunday morning and night as well as Wednesday night. Most of the riders (Voyagers) are children from kindergarten to sixth grade and youth in grades seven through twelve. We also have some families who are picked up. Our Voyager service is very dependable and varies according to the needs of each Voyager.
The Trace Creek Evangelism team works in different areas of the community at various times to invite children and their parents to our services and provide transportation if needed. More importantly, we invite them to come to Christ for redemption of their sins. We try to meet people where they are in life, according to their needs.
Before Vacation Bible School each year, we canvas the neighborhood in a "blitz." This outreach has grown and made a substantial increase in our VBS attendance each year: six vans in 2004, eight vans in 2005, and ten vans in 2006! And He [Jesus] took a child, and set him in the midst of them: and when he had taken him in his arms, he said unto them, Whosoever shall receive one of such children in my name, receiveth me: and whosoever shall receive me, receiveth not me, but him that sent me. (Mark 9:36-37).
Jesus is serious about servanthood and reaching the children. In Matthew 28:19, Jesus said, "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world." Amen.

If God has touched your heart about this ministry, we would be glad to meet with you and talk, pray, and seek God to see what He would have you to do in this ministry. God has a purpose for your life. He has a plan. We encourage you to seek that with your whole heart.
We will be adding some new areas of ministry this year. One aspect will be to contact each of the Voyagers on Saturday before the Sunday services to remind them that we will be picking them up. We hope to have six or seven people to do this on a weekly basis, with one contact person per van. This will assist us in meeting the needs of our Voyagers and being more effective in this ministry.
Building relationships, showing love to them, and bringing them to hear God's word is the heart of this ministry and Trace Creek.
