Easter Egg Hunt

Trace Creek's annual Easter Egg Hunt is held on the second Saturday prior to Easter and is open to all children through age 11.  Over 4,000 eggs are hid on the church grounds in three age groups.  Inside the eggs are candy and/or tokens which are exchanged for prizes.  Of course, refreshments are served to reward the hunters for their hard work.

The Promise

Each year during the Easter season, the music and drama ministries present "The Promise," a pageant on the life of Christ, including His death and glorious resurrection.  This passion play began in Texas and was later also performed in Branson, Missouri.  We began presenting "The Promise" as an annual production in 2000.  There are approximately 200 individuals involved in the presentations of "The Promise," including choir members, support cast, stage hands, and technical crew.

First Date Banquet

The Next Generation children's ministry believes that good behavior and manners teach respect, a noble quality of great worth.  The "First Date Banquet" is an annual event in which Next Generation girls and boys escort their parent to the Trace Creek Tea Room.  There, all couples are seated and served a three-course meal by the Next Generation "construction crew."  The meal is followed by quality entertainment before conclusion.

Baby Dedication

Mother's Day is set aside as the time we recognize the newest additions to our church family each year.  Parents of babies born during the past year may participate in the dedication service.  The babies and their parents are recognized during the morning worship service.  Bro. Ronnie leads the parents in a statement of commitment and then offers a dedication prayer.  A commemorative Bible is given to each family.

Graduates' Dinner

We recognize our graduating high school seniors each year with a catered dinner in their honor.  This time of celebration is open to their family and friends, as well.  A guest speaker shares words of motivation and challenge to the graduates as they begin a new chapter in their lives.
