The educational ministry of Trace Creek includes opportunities for all age groups to grow through Bible study and small group training.  Our Sunday School ministry offers classes for all age groups.  Adults may choose from a variety of co-ed classes as well as classes specifically for ladies, men, or singles.  Preschoolers, children, and youth classes are grouped either by age or school grade.

The development of the Christian life is much like the metamorphosis of a butterfly.  A caterpillar requires a significant amount of time, energy, focus and attention to make the transition from a squirmy caterpillar to a beautiful butterfly.  We take its transition for granted because we do not see it, nor are we involved in it.  The same is true for our Christian maturity. It takes a significant amount of effort to grow in our Christian maturity. Anything in life worth having takes times, energy, focus and effort.

Through the Life Training Institute, our desire is to offer opportunities for individuals to grow in their Christian walk and assimilate their lives into a place of service within our fellowship.

Trace Creek 101

Trace Creek 101  is offered once each quarter.  This class is designed for those who desire to know more about Trace Creek.  Areas of discussion include the church's function and ministry, her history, and the many ministry opportunities available. This class is ideal for visitors and prospective members, new members, and those who are members or regular attenders but want more information on any of the topics covered. 

Spiritual Gifts Class

This class is designed to assist individuals in discovering and using their spiritual gifts.  This three-week class is offered during the Sunday School hour and on Sunday afternoons each quarter.  This class explores the spiritual gifts listed in the Word of God, how each Christian can discern his or her spiritual gift, and how it should affect their daily lives.

Sharing Jesus Class

Sharing Jesus is the life of the church!  Our lifestyle should be the first witness others see in us.  "Sharing Jesus" is a three week witness training course offered each quarter.  Our philosophy of Sharing Jesus is two fold:  direct witness evangelism and lifestyle evangelism.  Both of these concepts are discussed in an effort to enable every Christian to share Jesus with confidence. 

Basic Christianity Class

Basic Christianity is a twelve-week class that looks at the fundamentals of the faith.  The class is offered periodically throughout the year during the Sunday School hour, as well as other times.  The topics covered include:

     1.  A Christian Worldview
     2.  The Bible
     3.  The Attributes of God I
     4.  The Attributes of God II
     5.  The Trinity
     6.  The Deity of Christ Jesus
     7.  The Person and Work of Christ
     8.  Deity, Person, and Work of the Holy Spirit
     9.  The Fall of Man and its Consequences
   10.  Salvation by Grace Alone/Justification by Faith Alone
   11.  Living for Jesus
   12.  The Perseverance of the Saints (Eternal Security)

Combat Christianity Class

Combat Christianity is a twenty-four week course that is designed as an intensive follow-up to Basic Christianity.  This class is nornally offered once every two years.

Precept Inductive Bible Studies

If you are ready for a personal, one-on-one encounter with the Living God, then Precept Upon Precept studies are for you.  Precept Ministries International is a transdenominational organization dedicated to the sole purpose of teaching people to study God's Word for themselves and apply its truths to their daily lives.  This is achieved through a highly effective way of seeking out answers and understanding Scripture.  Precept classes are an in-depth inductive Bible study that will help you understand God's Word, bring healing to your soul, and give direction to your life.  These classes are led by individuals who have been trained by Precept Ministries.  Courses are offered at The Creek throughout the year.  For information about current classes, click here.  For information about Precept Ministries International, click here.
